Professor Roderick Wasylishen (University of Alberta) has been awarded the 2013 Kaplan Award for Excellence in Research, the most prestigious University of Alberta research award.
The award recognizes and honours faculty members
(i) whose research contributions, both fundamental and applied, add significantly to our knowledge base,
(ii) who are recognized nationally and internationally for what they have accomplished as scholars, and
(iii) who set a standard of excellence for other University of Alberta faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and for the community-at-large.
